LOVINGLY REDESIGNED

The BMW X1 is the smallest and most affordable crossover SUV in the lineup. The 2023 BMW X1 xDrive28i is an all-new fourth-generation model that's longer, wider, roomier, and even more attractive than its predecessor. If you're shopping for a subcompact luxury crossover SUV in Tacoma, Fife, Seattle, or Bellevue, the all-new 2023 BMW X1 xDrive28i should be top of your list for consideration.

EVEN MORE REFINED

Changes to the exterior styling of the 2023 BMW X1 are clear to see, but they're also subtle, refined, and don't stray too far from the design that has served this model so well to date. The 2023 X1's traditional twin-kidney grille is a superb example of this. Rather than adopting the beaver-tooth grille that suits the new sedans and coupes so well, the grille of the 2023 BMW X1 xDrive28i is a little squarer than it used to be with the addition of adaptive air flaps for better efficiency.

UNDER THE HOOD

Along with its slightly sportier exterior styling, the 2023 BMW X1 xDrive28i complements it with a performance boost over the previous model. The updated powerplant under the hood of the all-new X1 is a 2.0-liter turbo-four producing 241 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. That's an increase of 13 horsepower and 37 lb.-ft., which gets sent to all four wheels of the 2023 X1 xDrive28i through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
BMW estimates this new powertrain combination will get the 2023 X1 xDrive28i from a standing start to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. And for the first time, the X1 is available with the excellent Adaptive M suspension package that lowers the ride height by 0.6 inches and allows the driver to choose between a comfortable ride that smooths out bumpy surfaces and a firmer ride for sportier handling and performance.

LAVISHLY EQUIPPED

The days of luxury models equipped with just the basics where you have to pay extra for the features you want are long gone, and the 2023 BMW X1 xDrive28i is an excellent example of that. Standard features include  AWD, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a powered tailgate, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitors, and front and rear parking sensors. There's also a standard 10.3-inch display that replaces the instrument cluster, which sits alongside a new 10.7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system.

Of course, there are plenty of opportunities to upgrade your X1 with features like a surround-view camera and even an onboard crash recorder for capturing up to 60 seconds of video in the unfortunate event of you having a crash.
